After a secret wedding in Las Vegas earlier this summer, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck held a more solemn wedding ceremony at the actor’s Georgia mansion. It holds a lot of memories for the couple, and it’s also epic enough to match custom-made and tailored wedding dresses from Ralph Lauren.
“The dresses are so dreamy,” Jennifer Lopez shared about the designs on her personal Instagram page. “Thank you, Ralph Lauren.”
Although the wedding officially took place on August 21, it was not until today that Jennifer Lopez revealed pictures of her wedding dresses. According to the photos shared on the singer’s account, Ralph Lauren designed 3 wedding dresses for JLo. All have a fishtail shape, respecting JLo’s standard body.
The neck part is shaped with feathers. T-shirt-like sleeves with ruched hem. The body of the dress is smooth and simple, the back has a charming cut out.
The simplicity of the upper body enhances the wide flared fishtail skirt. On the spare are 1000 handkerchiefs that are hand-attached, creating a fluttering effect as she walks. Over 500 meters of fabric were used to complete this design.
This is the wedding dress that Jennifer Lopez chose to wear for the main ceremony. She coordinated with high ponytail and veil.
Attached around the V-neck are a series of Swarovski crystals. The back of the dress is low to the hips, decorated with interwoven fabric lines are also meticulously attached.
In this design, the fishtail skirt is simplified to the fullest to direct the eye to the sparkling upper body and hair-covered chiffon shaped like a hat.
High neck shaped with pearl choker. Neck drop pearl necklace. Strings of pearls are wrapped around each other, embracing the female singer’s body. Among the three models of wedding dresses, this is the most classic design for Jennifer Lopez, making her feel like she just stepped out of an old Hollywood movie.
In keeping with Jennifer Lopez’s minimalist fashion tastes, guests were also required to wear all-white outfits. This is a strange detail because in the US, guests often have to avoid white, leaving this pure color to the bride on the big day.
It is known that the wedding venue is the private home of Ben Affleck. The actor bought the 35-hectare property in 2003, and this is also the first dating site of the couple. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez planned to hold a wedding at this mansion 20 years ago, but that wedding failed when the couple split in 2004.
Later, Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony and gave birth to twins Max and Emme. Ben Affleck is married to actress Jennifer Garner and has three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. However, they both divorced and got back together in April of last year.
“Ben has always loved the countryside, where the outdoors is open and close to the water,” an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight. “He bought this house in Riceboro while he was with Jen, loved that they could enjoy a quiet life there… Ben and Jen have remodeled this mansion to their personal taste. They definitely love this place.”
At the newly held wedding ceremony, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck took the oath in the presence of their five children. As People reports, all five teenage members of the family are dressed in outfits from Ralph Lauren.
