Wow thank God it was just the D…. my son who is entering next month into the OSU Honors College will now have to compete with a level of intelligence wanted dead and alive schroedingers cat shirt he probably never faced at his small high school in Missouri. I was already trying to impress on him to keep up his grades or he’ll be dropped from Honors College, etc… after watching this I think I am going to go back to my secondary advice and make it my primary one – just have a great time, make memories, but still keep the academics as a secondary (don’t want him going all crazed with ‘have fun’ advice from mom, lol). All I can say is stop wasting time and money especially your parents.

I am so familiar with this kind of attitude. If D is all you strive for, fine. Take note that when you finish your studies and present that D to your employer, they will not be happy with it especially when they can employ an A student. Why settle for less? Then you can blame your parents again for those lazy Ds. Good job. I believe a bad grade in a course at the beginning is no problem whatsoever. Cuz you wouldn’t be able to do the other stuff if you would miss knowledge. So obviously the knowledge must’ve build up after the test. I am becoming a fan….!! Huge fan.
