March 20 (local time) marks a new chapter in Moschino’s history when Jeremy Scott announced his departure from the position of Creative Director of the brand. The departure of the American designer after a decade at the Italian fashion house made the fans feel regretful. Before this shocking “break up” in the fashion industry, Jeremy Scott and Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of Aeffe (Moschino’s parent company) both shared candid thoughts.
“10 years at Moschino is a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination. I am so proud of the legacy I leave behind and would like to thank Massimo Ferretti for the honor of leading this iconic home. I also want to thank all the fans around the world for honoring my collections and visions, without you, I would not be able to achieve them.”
In the press release, Massimo Ferretti also expressed his appreciation for Jeremy Scott’s dedication after a long time at Moschino. He wrote: “I personally feel really fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a creative team, including Jeremy Scott. I want to thank him for his ten-year devotion to the legacy of the Franco Moschino fashion house. It was he who opened up a playful and different vision, which will forever be a constant part of Moschino’s history.”
