During the BORN PINK tour, the BLACKPINK members all performed in expensive costumes, such as those tailored by Chanel and Dior.
Dior and Chanel “confront” on blackpink’s born pink stage
Currently, BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK tour has arrived in Paris. As one of the four biggest fashion capitals in the world, the show in Paris must have received special attention. And the result was a rare event when Dior and Chanel appeared together on the same stage when these two high-end fashion brands tailored costumes for ambassadors Jennie and Jisoo BLACKPINK.
Jennie is currently a global ambassador for Chanel. The design of a performance costume for the BORN PINK world tour is like how Chanel welcomed Jennie BLACKPINK to Paris to perform. World tour BORN PINK made a two-day stop in Paris. And Chanel also designed two different outfits for Jennie.
On her personal social networking site, Jennie excitedly showed off her outfit for the solo stage in Paris. It is known that from head to toe Jennie is all designs made by Chanel Creative Director Virginie Viard herself.
The outfit uses 2 basic black and white colors, which is also the favorite color scheme of the Chanel family. The highlight is the camellia flowers in the hair and on the belt. The rumpled bust, slit mini skirt and two-tone shoes match the ballet core style that Jennie promoted during the BORN PINK tour
On the second night, Jennie appeared in another ballet core outfit with a black and pink combination, which is also a familiar combination of Chanel. The two camellias in her hair were replaced with pink ribbons – reminiscent of how Jennie used to wear a Chanel gift box ribbon on her hair.
Along with the outfit designed specifically by Chanel, Jennie also wore many Chanel accessories on the stage of the BORN PINK world tour.
As a global ambassador of Dior, Jisoo also wore a designer outfit when she arrived in Paris. Dior favors the ambassador when designing two outfits for Jisoo. If Chanel designed two models with the same style for Jennie, Dior brought two completely different outfits for Jisoo on this BLACKPINK world tour.
Jisoo’s solo stage on the BORN PINK stage is always accompanied by sexy outfits. Originally, she often chose variations from the Vietnamese brand Fancì. But in Paris, Jisoo replaced it with a black lace tulle dress by Dior. This design is in the Dior Autumn Winter 2022 BST, has a chiffon fabric that is meticulously layered, and the underside is studded with rhinestones to catch the light. Tung mullet skirt is predicted to be crowned in the spring-summer 2023.
The expensive details of the outfit are in the CD logo and the large belt with lines simulating the Saddle Bag. The belt enhances Jisoo’s figure, making her more attractive when performing the song ” Liar ”
On the next night in Paris, Jisoo continued to wear tailor-made outfits. Not as graceful as the first dress, this design is more youthful and sporty when combined with laced-high boots.
Originally, the shirt Jisoo wore was a waistcoat model in the Dior Cruise 2023 collection, but instead of being worn over a shirt, it was transformed by the Dior crew into a tight shirt for Jisoo. Dior’s logomania details such as the logo bow brooch and the strap with the cannage quilted pocket continue to give Jisoo a chic look.
As is customary, the BLACKPINK girls will reuse costumes for many nights during the BORN PINK tour. However, leaving Paris and coming to Berlin, Jisoo and Jennie immediately had other options for their solo stage. It is not clear whether the designs from Dior and Chanel will return to this world tour of BLACKPINK. Therefore, many fans think that seeing two female global ambassadors of two luxury brands perform at the “high-fashion home” of Paris is a unique opportunity.
