Burberry chooses jun ji hyun as ambassador, expanding influence in asia

Burberry demonstrates the importance of the Asian market by successively appointing two influential ambassadors in the region. Although the Korean entertainment market is very competitive, Jun Ji Hyun still stands out with a naturally beautiful face, elegant demeanor, delicate acting techniques and a wise head when choosing projects. It is fitting for this powerful and multi-talented woman to become Burberry’s new ambassador in the land of kimchi.

The photos announcing the new ambassadorial appointment are simple, yet sophisticated. Jun Ji Hyun appeared with traditional black hair, sometimes in a high bun, sometimes left loose. The actress wears clean, minimalist Burberry designs. Burberry’s neutral colors like black and cream and straight lines accentuate Jun Ji Hyun’s height. She coordinated the outfit with the brand’s recognizable bags.

“It is a great honor for me to be a Burberry ambassador,” said Jun Ji Hyun. “Burberry is known as a brand with an admirable history and tradition, yet always innovating with the times, and this is what I want to convey through my work as an actor.” The actress added, “The timeless elegance of Burberry has always inspired me. Looking forward to the opportunity to cooperate with the fashion house in the future.”

Asia is an important market for Burberry. In 2022, Burberry appoints many influential ambassadors in this market. Before Jun Ji Hyun, Burberry also collaborated with “Thai screen god” Bright Vachirawit. Bright is Burberry’s first Southeast Asia ambassador.

Jun Ji Hyun, Burberry’s first female Korean ambassador, was the one who helped make Korean dramas popular throughout Asia through her role as Sassy Girl (2001). And Bright Vachiravit became a phenomenon in Southeast Asia after filming the movie F4: Meteor Garden Thailand. Thus, while Burberry’s two new ambassadors are regionally appointed, their influence transcends borders.

The appointment of influential ambassadors partly helped the audience firmly believe in Burberry during the transition of power.

According to WWD, Burberry is currently approaching a series of young designers in the UK. Coincidentally, creative director Riccardo Tisci’s contract with the brand will come to an end in 2023. Although at the financial meetings, Burberry said it was still pleased with Tisci’s results, according to an inside source. The studio is in detailed discussions with Daniel Lee, the former creative director of Bottega Veneta.
