The Twinlock crown features a double-layer waterproofing system that securely tightens against the case. The watch glass is made of sapphire with scratch resistance and has an anti-glare coating.

Oystersteel has a special luster. Rolex watches crafted from this special steel retain their luster even when exposed to the harshest conditions. New versions of the Oyster Perpetual are crafted from Oystersteel. This special steel, which gives it a special shine, is made specifically for Rolex. Oystersteel belongs to the 904L steel series – an alloy commonly used in high-tech fields, such as aviation and chemicals. Its excellent anti-corrosion properties are comparable to precious metals.

Caliber 2232 and 3230

The Oyster Perpetual 31 is equipped with caliber 2232, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41 are both equipped with caliber 3230. Released in 2020 and introduced the same year, the movements are entirely Rolex-developed. development and production. They incorporate some of the latest innovations in Rolex technology, including a high-performance Paraflex shock absorber.

Fitted with a Syloxi hairspring and a nickel-phosphorus paramagnetic spike wheel, the 2232 movement ensures a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Meanwhile, the caliber 3230 includes a blue Parachrom hairspring and a Chronergy escapement that extends the power reserve to approximately 70 hours.

The new versions of the Oyster Perpetual 31, Oyster Perpetual 36, and Oyster Perpetual 41 are all mounted on an Oyster bracelet. Developed in the late 1930s, this three-piece link bracelet remains the most popular bracelet in the Oyster Perpetual collection and is renowned for its durability. The Oyster bracelet on these new models is equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp that prevents the unwanted release of the buckle. It is also equipped with a convenient Easylink extension link, developed by Rolex, which makes it easy for the wearer to adjust the strap length by approximately 5 mm.
