After a long period of freezing due to the pandemic, the world brushed off the dust on the map and restarted new journeys. Instagram is filled with fresco landscape photos in extremely remote locations like Patagonia, Kenya, Alaska, etc. The fashions of these nature trips are unique enough to build their own concepts in the dictionary. And Hermès decided to follow her high-class guests to the ends of the Earth.

The destination that the French brand first proposed was a wild desert. In the middle of the empty catwalk, a model of sand dunes was erected with color bands scattered throughout the space. In the background of bustling techno music, the models appeared one after another, silhouetted against the gentle rays of the morning light. This is Hermès’ color performance with inspiration distilled as the atmosphere warms with the sun, shimmers at dusk, and reflects the dances of the night sky.

Inviting the sun to fall with its sunset palette, from vermilion to fiery red, and ending with sparkling silvery whites, the collection paints a picturesque holiday. Not screaming like the first explosion of a car that has been inactive for a long time, Hermès wanted the emotions of the day to return to the delicate movement of a symphony.

The loose skirts, the delicate layers of the fabric, and the wavy ponchos look like a mirage in the desert. The sunset is also the time when life falls into a state of rest so that the remaining energy floats into space. Shirts with loose buttons signifying a little laziness are signs of an escape from the rhythm of city life.

Hermès seems to invite believers to join a camping trip in the heart of nature. There, fashion houses dress us in jumpsuits, dresses, and skirts that are tailored from tents, hammocks, and mosquito nets. Because traces are left on the elastic band around the waist. Hermès has always had reason to be proud of the finest quality leather goods on the planet. If you think of the models on the catwalk as a caravan of merchants crossing the desert, they are certainly transporting precious goods. Braid and crochet techniques are deployed interwoven to create outfits that are both dynamic and feminine.

The bodycon design seems to be the simplest dress form, but Hermès definitely has to upgrade the game when applying the macramé technique to connect the pieces of leather together. The polka dot pattern is also complicated when the fashion house uses leather with the ambition to steal the effect of sequin fabric, waiting for the sun to shine and sparkle like jewels. If the desert was stretched by dust, then Hermès’ legacy would have no end in terms of luxury.
