Before their Week 3 match against the Commanders, the Eagles worked out two players

Just a few days before their Week 3 road game against Washington, the Philadelphia Eagles brought in two players for trials on Thursday. Mark Gilbert, a defensive back, and Michael Palardy, a punter, were both tested by Philadelphia. Arryn Siposs, a punter, may be injured as a result of Palardy’s training, as he was compelled to make a tackle on Monday night following a blocked kick.

Palardy is a seasoned punter with 72 career games under his belt. In 2021, he played for the Dolphins, where his 44.7 average placed him 24th out of all punters with at least 35 attempts. When it came to downed punts inside the 20-yard line, Parlardy was third-best in the league (31).

For his six-punt effort against the New York Giants in Week 13 of the 2021 season, which included a career-long 65-yard punt that pinned them at their own 15, he was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Prior to the Ravens game, Vince Wilfork wants to meet with the Patriots.

Vince Wilfork, a former defensive tackle for the New England Patriots, is familiar with the rivalry between the Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.

During his eleven seasons with New England, the Patriots faced the Ravens ten times, including a few tense postseason matchups. Since then, there have only been three matchups between New England and Baltimore, therefore the animosity has somewhat subsided. The previous time these two teams faced off, it was in the pouring rain, and New England won by a score of 23-17.

Wilfork is looking forward to the game even though he is no longer a member of the Patriots as they attempt to win their second game of the year. This Saturday, he will be formally enshrined in the Patriots Hall of Fame. He’s hoping to provide the players some advice while he’s here before the big game.

So, according to Wilfork, “I’m hopeful I can go over there (Friday),” according to NESN’s Zack Cox. “I’m not sure yet, but that’s the aim since I enjoy being with people. I enjoy exposing my face. Bill has always, always been there for me, and Boston has been lovely to me. The organization has also been fantastic.

It would make me pleased if I had the chance to travel there, especially if I had the chance to play against the Ravens, with whom we have a friendly rivalry. I would love to share some advice with the team to help them prepare for Sunday. Therefore, we’re going to try to make that happen.

As they face a Ravens squad that is strong both offensively and defensively, the Patriots will need to be at the top of their game. How big of an impact Wilfork will have on Sunday’s game, this time off the field, is a question that must be asked.
