Renowned jeweler Tiffany & Co. just successfully acquired the remaining super rare pink diamonds from Argyle mine, Australia
Tiffany & co’s super rare argyle pink diamonds
The Argyle Diamond Mine is located in East Kimberley, a remote part of Western Australia. Existing from 1983 to November 2022, it is the only pink diamond mine in the world. Although decommissioned, Argyle still holds a small production of diamonds in the last mines. In early 2022, the mine approached and introduced Tiffany & Co. to these beautiful, world-famous Argyle pink diamonds.
This is the first time in centuries that Argyle has curated a collection of premium diamonds for a jeweler. This further enriches the heritage and affirms Tiffany & Co.’s position: owner of jewels and diamonds coveted the world over.
“This special collection features 35 Argyle Pink™ diamonds, featuring all of the most famous shades of Argyle diamonds. These include deep pinks, deep purples, vibrant pinks, vibrant purples, deep pinks, and, most rarely, rose red,” said Victoria Wirth Reynolds, Director of Gemological Appraisals at Tiffany & Co. share.
“Not only are these diamonds extremely rare, but these diamonds are also suitable for Tiffany & Co’s Diamond Craft Journey project. We provide our customers with the diamond provenance – country of origin – of every newly mined diamond. Each jewelry diamond is clearly registered and certified,” added Victoria.
Celebrating this historic acquisition, Tiffany & Co. will introduce this famous pink diamond collection to special customers, during global high jewelry – haute joaillerie events from the beginning of 2023.
Because of their geological characteristics, Argyle pink diamonds will typically be less than one carat in size. Of the 35 diamonds Tiffany & Co. Introduction, features three diamonds larger than one carat, super rare. Each diamond in the Argyle Pink™ Diamonds: The Tiffany Collection will be certified exclusively by Tiffany & Co. and Argyles.
